BRAZEAU COUNTY
ROCKY RAPIDS TRANSFER STATION UPGRADES


Latitude Engineering on behalf of Brazeau County is seeking Tenders for the construction of the Rocky Rapids Transfer Station Upgrades located in Brazeau County, Alberta.

Tender documents will be available for viewing after 2:00:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2020.

A site visit will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 11:00am at the Rocky Rapids Transfer Station. All tenderers are encouraged to attend this once only scheduled site inspection.

Each Tender must be accompanied by a bank draft or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the Tender Price, payable to Brazeau County.

Tenderers are also required to supply a Consent of Surety Form in the amount equal to fifty (50%) percent of the Contract Sum.

Tenders must be received by the submission deadline outlined above, and submitted through the Bidding System electronically. The closing date and time shall be determined by the Bidding System’s web clock. Late submissions are not permitted by the Bidding System.

Tender submission is based on when it is received by the Bidding System, not when it is submitted. Tender transmission can be delayed due to file transfer size, transmission speed, and etc. It is recommended that Bidders allow sufficient time to upload their submission to avoid any issues that may arise.

Faxed or Hard Copy Tenders or Tenders submitted by e-mail will not be accepted and will be returned to the Bidder.

The Work to be undertaken consists of, but not limited to, the approximate quantities:

  1. Topsoil Stripping and Stockpile Onsite - 50 m2
  2. Reinforced Concrete Retaining Wall Demolition and Removal - 1 Lump Sum
  3. Common Excavation and Disposal Onsite - 550 m3
  4. Remove and Asphalt Pavement Disposal Offsite - 650 m2
  5. Modify Existing Metal Roof Structure and re-Install - 1 Lump Sum
  6. Granular Fill - 60 m3
  7. Granular Base - 650 m2
  8. Granular Subbase - 650 m2
  9. Reinforced Concrete Pads - 71 m2
  10. Supply and Install Pre-cast Reinforced Concrete Retaining Wall - 35 lin.m
  11. Supply and Install Bollards - 16 each
  12. Topsoil Placement and Seeding - 100 m2

The Successful Bidder shall achieve completion of the Work for the Project by October 31, 2020.

All inquiries regarding the technical aspects of the drawings and specifications for the Work shall be in writing via email to: kwong@latitudeengineering.ca.

Submission of a tender by a Bidder gives the owner the right to require the Bidder to execute the Contract and to perform the Work as set out within the Tender Documents. Tenders may not be withdrawn after the Tender Closing and will be irrevocable and open for acceptance by the Owner for a period of thirty (30) days following the end of the day of the Tender Closing. The Successful Bidder will be notified in writing of the award of the Tender when the Owner delivers a Letter of Intent to the Successful Bidder.

Suppliers are not required to register for a bid opportunity prior to previewing unsecured bid documents. Please note, some documents may be secured and you will be required to register for the bid to download and view the documents.
